I have nothing but the upmost respect for law enforcement officers seeing as how my husband used to work in law enforcement; my brother is a municipal police officer; my brother-in-law used to be a reserve deputy; and my step brother-in-law was a former municipal police officer. What I saw yesterday totally blew my mind, and all I have to say is "Way to go!" to the Tulsa Police Department.
My son stays with my mom during the day (aka Memaw). When I pulled to a stop at the stop sign on my mom's street, there was a motorcycle officer sitting in front of my mom's house. There is a 4 way stop at one end of the street and a stop on the alternating street there. Both are ran by motorists habitually. Some motorists don't even stop and breeze through the signs at 30 to 40 mph. The officer was there to issue citations for speeding and failure to yield. How awesome is that?!?!?!
I can honestly say I never have seen an officer patrol a neighborhood like that until yesterday. Thank you, Tulsa PD, for a job well done.
(I'm very curious to see how many citations were given.)
