One of my nieces is very involved in the theatre and dance. She has been in several Children's Theatre productions and is really quite talented. Well this weekend we attended the musical, Annie, in which she was a member of the orphan's chorus. (On the odd chance that you are reading this, A, you did a wonderful job!)
M's first exposure to A's performances was around the time he was 18 months old. He has been to her recitals, saw her in The Nutcracker, Annie, Huckleberry Finn, etc. He loved Annie! He really did very well, considering the show didn't start until 7:30 pm. He danced; he clapped; his only complaint came when one of the singers started projecting (I believe it was Mrs. Hannigan) and he complained that she was screaming at him.
He was overjoyed to get a hug from our orphan, A, and he wanted so badly to go and give Annie hugs and kisses. (The funniest part of the evening actually came from the little girl halfway up stage left that sang along with Annie on Tomorrow.)
All he has done all day has talked about A and Annie.
