Last night, I finally broke out my photos to put up in the living room. I finished up my collage frame of family members and put finally put M's 2 and 3 year old pictures in his collage frame. I rotated out his picture in the family picture frame. By the time I had finished all that and had hung some of the pictures, it was dusk.
We heard the muffled booms inside the house and finally ventured outside to discover that with the open field across from us, we had a very good view of the fireworks display at the mall about three miles away. B lowered the tailgate on his truck, and we all sat on the tailgate and watched the fireworks light up the sky.
As you can imagine, M ooh'ed and ahh'ed over the fireworks. He commented on how pretty they were. We watched the fireworks for about 30 minutes, and then we ventured back inside to enter into peaceful slumber only to have that slumber interrupted with nature's fireworks--lightning and thunder.
From our family to yours, we hope you have a happy and safe Independence Day.
