Swimming safety

Tomorrow is the last night of swimming lessons for M. Tonight, they covered a little bit of water safety. The instructors arranged the kids on the side of the pool and had them lie down on their stomaches and use their hands to pull in the instructor. They also had them use a noodle to pull in a person.

Well, of course, it gets to M. M does ok on the hand. Then it gets to the noodle. Rather than pulling the noodle toward him, M decides to blow into the hole in the noodle to blow out the water. Luckily the instructors find him so amusing.

Edited: Oh, I forgot about the boating safety. The instructors had a raft and they showed the kids how to get into a boat. They then took them further out in the water and shook the raft and showed them how to hold on and then

They capsized the raft. M started bawling. He doesn't mind going under...but only as long as it is of his doing.

He is doing fairly well since he is still so young. He can swim with a floatation belt and can somewhat do the crawl and the breaststroke. Now, if I could just get him on his back long enough to practice the backstroke and crawl on his back...
